Job Description: Requirement::: Ruby Developers
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Be part of the Agile Scrum Team: attend daily stand-up meetings, attend iteration planning meetings
- Be a member of a team, support team practices and coding standards
- Evaluate complex code and quickly decide to refactor or repair as appropriate
- Pickup defects, identify, and resolve problems at the System Level.
- Work closely with QA to address issues identified quickly
- Be adaptive to last minute changes to the requirements and architecture and work flow
- Work on assigned user stories and defects
- Understand RSPEC and be able to fix issues
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A strong (5 years) Ruby development experience
- 5+ years development experience with Ruby on Rails framework
- 5+ years development experience building web applications
- Able to drop in to existing code, and quickly begin testing and fixing issues
- Be part of a close team and pair-code as needed
- Understand Linux system configurations and provisioning
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- 5 years of programming experience in a large scale project.
- 3+ Linux system provision and configuration experience
- Must have a HIGH level of proficiency coding in Ruby and/or Ruby on Rails
- Proven ability to develop and deliver high-quality features and fixes in Ruby/Java on schedule
- Good communication skills and ability to work with support organization
- Independent and self-motivated
- BS or higher in Computer Science or Related Field
ADDITIONAL DESIRED SKILLS:
- 3+ years Linux system provision and configuration experience
- Ability to learn quickly and critically
- Creative problem solving and debugging skills
- Experience working in Agile development environment
PLUS:
- Working understanding of Docker, ISO, OVA, and Networking
