Scope of Work/Duties
RIS/PACS/Transcription System Administrator duties shall include the following:
Provides consultation to internal and external sources concerning highly sensitive issues directly related to the needs of Medical Imaging Services Radiology Information Systems (RIS) and the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS), Transcription and any additional digital imaging initiatives;
Gathers and coordinates information, regarding Medical Imaging Services needs and provides recommendations to the Chief of Medical Imaging Services or designee regarding the solutions to meeting those needs;
Coordinates and directs internal and external correspondence related to Medical Imaging Information Systems (RIS/PACS, Report Formats) new information systems technology, database analysis and reporting, and digital imaging equipment as they pertain to Medical Imaging Services;
Assist in developing instructional media and procedures for continuing education within the work setting;
Provides expertise in phases of network management in conjunction with CCHCS Data Processing Manager III of Operations or designee, such as server or network infrastructure administration;
Provide a collaborative effort of policy and procedures regarding health care laws as they relate to Medical Imaging digital imaging services;
Reviews digital imaging services to monitor compliance with all state and federal laws, rules, statutes and regulations;
Initiates communication between stakeholders, government officials, and institution staff on institutional health care issues and ensures open and productive communication between executive staff, other stakeholders, and government officials under the direction of the Chief of Medical Imaging Services;
Provides management with reports, up-to-date timelines, updated status for various health care related Medical Imaging Services matrices, and information on upcoming issues to ensure compliance is met in
