Job Description:

General Responsibilities
Interact directly with technical leads and project managers to understand functional and technical requirements and the underlying business drivers and issues. Anticipate technical constraints and limitations.
Ability to understand and translate business requirements into an effective Salesforce solution that promotes high performance and an optimal user experience
Use business requirements to define UI and/or backend designs that optimize configuration and out-of-the-box Salesforce tools; ability to define customized solutions when necessary to deliver on business requirements
Ability to develop Salesforce solutions using workflows, visual force, and triggers; customize solutions using custom objects, workflows, page layouts and fields.
Build solutions that promote data integrity and comply with project standards
Understand implications of configuration and customization decisions and explain risks, technology costs, and benefits
Participate in, and lead when necessary, production troubleshooting and ‘War Room’ meetings.
Ability to support all phases of the development lifecycle including analysis, development, and testing.
Provide expert knowledge and proficiency for Salesforce, Salesforce 1 and Force.com and facilitate the collaborative development of technology design, standards, and best practices.
Support development and on-going maintenance for web and mobile applications
Ability to collaborate virtually and effectively across teams and time zones
Stay abreast of changes in Salesforce cloud, mobile and Force.com landscapes, and provide guidance around implications to project.
Exhibit high level of professional flexibility.

Salesforce Project Responsibilities
Ability to solely or jointly support new projects and enhancements from start to finish. Includes conducting effective requirements planning sessions, refining requirements and use cases for sign-off, defining the best approach/option for meeting clients’ needs, configuring and building the solution, completing test cycles, and deploying final solution
Design and build Force.com applications and extensions using declarative platform capabilities, visual force pages and web services APIs
Ability to write Apex classes and controllers to customize the application to clients specific needs
Manage on-going support processes which include system upgrades, release planning, and change control processes
Understand users, roles, profiles, and permission sets for each instance
Create reports, dashboards and validation rules and provide consultation on how to improve user productivity
Support technical design sessions and system integration efforts
Complete work efforts on schedule, within budget and with minimal defects
Escalate issues and risks proactively to technical leads and develop mitigating actions
Provide insight in managing system configuration specifications, training manuals, and other internal system documentation

Primary Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or equivalent educational or professional experience and/or qualifications
4+ years of in-depth technical experience and a minimum of 2 years of recent hands-on configuration, customization and development of Sales and Service Cloud, mobile and Force.com solutions
Salesforce Certified - Salesforce Admin and Developer Certifications
Core consulting skills combined with enterprise implementation experience with all core Salesforce.com tools (i.e., Dataloader, Translation Workbench) and products
Thorough understanding of the rule, profile and permissions sets (security and sharing model) guiding access and visibility, SSO, and desktop/mobile integrations
Experienced in real-time integrations with Salesforce involving SOAP, REST etc. and understanding of concepts such as firewalls, reverse proxies, security certificates
Worked on projects involving large CRM data volumes and batch integrations
Applied best practices of design & programming and building solutions for scale, performance and reusability
Experience in implementing advanced formulas and workflow rules to enforce business processes
Experience managing Agile/Scrum projects
Experience working with end-users and development teams to document and clarify requirements and manage scope of defined features and functions during project lifecycle
Experience in successfully implementing quality guidelines, standards and procedures
Creative - able to think outside the box; uses knowledge gained through prior experience, education, and training to resolve issues and remove project barriers in a timely manner
Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong presentation skills a plus
Ability for minimal travel, up to 10%
