Position: Quality Engineer 1
Location: San Francisco, CA
Duration: 6+ Months Contract
Description:
Duties:
Create and execute different types of testing i.e. Functional, Acceptance and Regression.
Perform usability, performance and stress testing on responsive web app across multiple desktop and device platforms
Client, narrow down and isolate bugs and write clear, reproducible bug reports.
Collaborate with developers to clarify and resolve issues
Write test plans, test cases, and create supporting documentation and test files
Use qualitative and quantitative data to inform and drive test strategies and quality efforts
Review design specs and engineering docs and provide feedback
Skills:
2-4 years'' experience working in software quality
Experience in creating Test Strategy, test plans, test cases, scripts, manage defects.
Experience in executing functional and regression testing utilizing Agile/Scrum development methodology for frontend and backend functionalities
Experience with responsive web-based application testing using multiple browsers and devices
Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes e.g. bug tracking systems (Jira) and the bug life cycle.
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
Attention to detail
Strong problem solving skills and ability to think analytically
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Pluses:
Hands-on experience with browser & device automated testing tools and technologies ie Selenium
Experience with testing REST APIs
Partner with developers to help guide automated testing efforts
Education: Bachelor''s degree or equivalent work experience
