Quality Control Consultant- Contract to Hire



Serves as a team leader representing the software certification and testing interests of one or more business units for medium to large projects. Acts as a primary liaison between systems development teams, vendors and/or business customers. Assists management in identifying project objectives, validating detailed business/technical requirements and evaluating alternatives. Defines project scope, objectives and resource needs related to test/quality control activities for corporate projects. Ensures test plans and scripts thoroughly support customer requirements and obtains customer approval on test plans, test script results and documents as necessary. Coordinates the work assignments, projects and tasks for a project team.



Provides oversight to the development of documents and monitors metric information necessary to identify and understand trends and issues related to software certification and testing. Analyzes documents and resolves problems found in testing. Assists Manager with the development and administration of quality control standards and test plans and maintains application documentation. Defines, develops and maintains test data repositories. Assists management with establishment and planning of standards, policies and procedures related to the testing of computer applications. Prepares project status reports and variance analysis and provides quality checkpoints to team members to assist in evaluating target objectives

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in/with:
· An insurance environment
· Testing applications on multiple platforms
· Testing, working with or evaluating third party vendor packages
· Automated regression testing experience
· Experience with Selenium
Knowledge of business requirements including corporate and industry policies, practices and procedures and the Client''s applications, products and delivery systems.

Required Qualifications (these are the minimum requirements to qualify):

College level Coursework or formal training in Computer Science, Information Systems, Quality Control or Testing required, Testing Certification or Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Experience in/with:
· Automated testing tools, methodologies and defect tracking systems
· Risk assessment
· Developing, resolving problems with, maintaining and executing test plans and scripts
· Developing and evaluating business requirements
