The Quality Assurance/Tester (QAT) is responsible for the design, pilot, and implementation of the software quality assurance review processes.
The Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) at the State of Iowa is looking for a driven, collaborative QA Tester to join our team. The QA Tester will serve a key role on two of our agile delivery teams. OCIO is committed to utilizing modern technologies and methodologies in order to deliver secure, high-quality technical solutions to its business partners. Most of our development projects consist of web applications written in .Net, SQL Server, Entity Framework, MVC and Bootstrap.
Experience working on projects with these technologies, as well as the fundamentals of the iterative/agile methodology, are highly desired. Experience with Microsoft VSTS testing suite highly desired, experience with Acceptance Test Driven Development (aTDD) and partnering with agile developers write executable requirements using the Behavioral Driven Development concept (BDD
This role will be onsite Monday thru Friday during standard business hours.
Required Skills:
\tExperience as a quality assurance tester, in all areas of testing (unit, integration, system, regression, performance and UAT) – 4 years
\tExperience with iterative and/or Agile Scrum development methodologies – 4 years
\tProven experience with Agile Test Engineering practices such as ATDD, TDD, and BDD – 3 years
\tExperience testing web applications using .Net platform, SQL Server database, SSIS, Jenkins, GIT and VSTS – 3 years
\tExperience testing web applications using HTML/ CSS, JavaScript and/or TypeScrip – 3 years
\tExperience in testing automation – 2 years
\tExperience in the following technologies: SpecFlow, Selenium, Nunit and Jasmine – 2 years
\tAbility to write using Gherkin (or similar) syntax – 2 years
\tVSTS/Azure DevOps Experience – 1 year
