Information Technology Quality Assurance Lead Position

General Job Description:
This position will perform all aspects of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) testing activities; which includes, but is not limited to, all requirements analysis as it pertains to the development and maintenance of the Requirements Traceability Matrix, development of test plan/test cases, execution of functional and system integration tests, and test defect reporting. Detailed hands-on knowledge of manual and automated testing. Ability to understand application functionality and business operations quickly.

Job Responsibilities:

Design and execute test plan, test cases based on the requirements specification and use cases
Perform data field, functional and system integration testing
Work closely with developers and testers to identify and duplicate reported problems
Write and maintain traceability matrix to reflect test coverage
Analyze the test results and present the findings to individuals and groups
Identify issues on complex test cases and recommend solutions based on test result analysis
Support the creation of necessary test data for different stages of testing
Lead all aspects of the User Acceptance Testing process
Perform other related duties as assigned such as scoping business requirements, identifying scope change and system impacts (including external systems)
Document requirements using Use Cases and Workflows
Facilitate requirements work sessions and write detailed Business Requirements for highly complex projects

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor''s degree in a related field from an accredited college or university and three years of recent relevant IT testing experience with a progression in responsibility
Strong oral and written communication, interpersonal skills
Strong problem solving, analytical skills and technical troubleshooting skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to understand business processes and relate them to technical solutions
Experience using JIRA for test planning, execution, and defect management
Experience in testing web applications
Demonstrated experience working within a Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) framework
Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologies required
Proficient in MS Office (MS Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Visio)
Ability to prioritize and juggle multiple and concurrent tasks

Preferred Qualifications:

6 years of progressive work experience in business analysis
Experience with Healthcare IT systems development
