Job Title: Quality Assurance Lead
Location: Brooklyn, NY
Duration: 3 Years
We are looking for a highly experienced Software Quality Assurance (QA) Lead with excellent system written and verbal communication skills, to join our Child Care System IT support team. The qualified IT QA lead will be responsible for all software quality assurance work specific to software development and/or enhancements/modifications to the division’s system of record and/or public facing Web application, ACCIS and WES, respectively.
Additionally, the qualified QA lead will have significant professional experience, leading, managing, and supporting quality assurance tasks for enterprise production systems, as this role will require experience with both significant manual software application testing, as well as automated QA testing experience.
Responsible for identifying and correct defects across application environments, data sets, and business processes, quality assurance tasks may include, but not be limited to system component and configuration analysis, script development and execution, unit and integration testing, exception handling, oversee software quality assurance for development, enhancement, and modifications to the division’s system of record and/or public facing Web application, ACCIS and WES, respectively.
Evaluate software development requests (net new development, modifications, enhancements, etc to ensure the City’s set of defined IT quality standards are met for all relevant software development deliverables
Manages QA tasks across all phase of the software development life cycle
Leverage requirements management, test management, and business process testing techniques and competencies to support overall
Organize and manage all phases of the application testing process, including, but not limited to:
Planning and management of software development implementation’s test approach
Test Script writing
Participate in release planning
Participate in requirements definition/ business discovery sessions
Test planning and project tasks report
Test execution
Defect tracking and reporting
The QA lead will be required to implement all relevant test activities including, but not limited to test strategy, planning and execution (testing in alignment with software development release cycles. The candidate will be supporting new as well as existing products in QA planning, detailed test use case development, and defining and tracking test matrices to ensure quality of solutions delivered to end users.
Delivering QA artifacts will include, but may not be limited to such items as:
Participating in business requirements and/or product design sessions to develop test requirements, test plans and test cases according to the functional and technical specifications and business rules as defined by the users.
