Job Summary
Personal Insurance Business Technology is looking for an experienced QA Automation Consultant / Quality Engineer to drive automation strategy and further develop automation capabilities for the initiatives aligned to Customer Value Stream. QA Automation Consultant is expected to implement solutions that will help drive low cost operating model through the effective use of automation for business capability testing, mature our CI/CD practice and be well versed in Safe Agile methodology. Key focus objectives.

Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities
Advancement of the overall test automation strategy for Customer Value Stream initiatives
Adoption and maturity of capabilities around the key priorities of IT Strategy (CI/CD and DBT level automation practices)
Defining automation approach for new capabilities planed within Customer value stream.
Driving and implementing a “shift left” mentality in terms of code delivery and testing
Effective use of resources/tools to define automation approach and develop/configure test automation framework
Ability to provide comprehensive estimates around automation effort and articulate any risks/challenges
Test Script development
Perform In-Sprint Story, Feature and E2E Testing
Conduct QA reviews and audits.
Identify, collect, analyze and report on software metrics.

Minimum Qualifications
Three years of Technology or Business related experience required. High school diploma or equivalent required.

Education, Work Experience & Knowledge
Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field (Computer Science, MIS, etc
Six years of Technology or Quality Assurance experience preferred.
2+ years of experience with Agile methodology
3+ years of experience with Selenium, UFT, Web service automation and automation framework
3+ years of experience with HP ALM/QC as test management tool
Working knowledge of Quality Assurance practices and execution
Preferred experience of application development and/or automation architect
Experience working with vendor partners


Job Specific & Technical Skills & Competencies
Experience in at-least one programming language with OOPS concepts (Java or C
Extensive experience with Test Automation Framework and any leading automation tools
Experience in Web Services Test Automation using SoapUI (Groovy Programming preferred)
Experience in Early Automation (Shift Left) in Agile Scrum or Kanban
In depth knowledge and understanding of CICD Pipeline (Jenkins, Bamboo or TFS) and how test automation integrates into the pipeline
Technology and Tools: Selenium, UFT, XML, Github, Jenkins, SVN, Rally, Cucumber, Angular, .Net, Java, etc.
Experience in Angular, .net development/scripting or any other leading programming language
Strong communications skills to interact with development, DevOps and Senior management
Ability to lead and demonstrate value
Strong drive and continuous improvement mindset
