Position Responsibilities:

· Create and execute test plans, test scenarios and test scripts that will determine compliance of an application’s functional design with the stated/documented requirements for a given system; also ensure optimal application performance according to system specifications.

· Continually champion and improve QA measures and testing standards for new applications and/or enhancements to existing applications throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC

· Ensure that testing activities allow applications to meet business requirements, functional requirements, fulfill end-user requirements, and identify existing or potential issues.

· Communicate and collaborate with various IT and business professionals during application testing such as system, unit, regression, load, and acceptance testing methods.

· Work with appropriate project stakeholders to properly understand business requirements, expectations and ensure successful User Acceptance Testing (UAT

· Prepare and deliver reports, recommendations related project lessons learned, or alternatives that address existing and potential trouble areas in IT systems and IT projects across the organization.

· Participate in developing, distributing, and coordinating in-depth end-user reviews of systems for modified and new applications.

· Analyze formal test results in order to discover and report any defects, bugs, errors, configuration issues, and interoperability flaws.

· Administer QA tool(s) and templates used for managing QA processes, including automated functional and load testing tools.

· Make recommendations for improvement of applications to programmers and software developers or engineers.



Position Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, training or similar field required. Industry certifications preferred.

· Certification preferred in either CSQA (Certified Software Quality Analyst), CSTP (Certified Software Test Professional) and/or CSTE (Certified Software Tester

· Minimum 5 years of Software QA experience at an Associate or Analyst level.

· Minimum 3+ years of experience in the following:

· Direct hands-on experience with ad hoc query programs and reporting software.

· Direct experience as a lead tester for major application integration and/or major application product release.

· Creating test plans, test scenarios and test scripts.

· Testing ASP.net web applications and MS SQL Server as back-end database.

· Intermediate to advanced skills using MS Office 2007/2010 Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

· Experience with testing software, including functional and load testing tools (e.g. LoadRunner, WinRunner, TestDirector, JIRA, BugNet, Quality Center, etc.

· Experience with web and mobile (include tablets and smartphones

· SharePoint user experience preferred.

· Strong knowledge of system testing best practices and methodologies.

· Strong knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC

· Extensive practical knowledge in importing data for use in reporting software, spreadsheets, graphs, and flow charts.

· Proven data analysis, data verification, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.

· Effective project management skills and/or substantial exposure to project-based work structures.

· Effective technical writing and documentation skills required.

· Act as a liaison for the IT team to the business on all matters related system testing.

· Ability to think independently, innovatively and apply fundamental SQA concepts, including flexibly applying various testing methods where appropriate.

· Ability to facilitate meetings internally with various functional departments and sometimes with vendors.
