Position; QA Testing

Location ;Houston, TX

Duration:10 months

Hourly rate : $35/hr

Client seeking an experienced and senior level Testing Manager to lead the testing team for a Global deployment of a Procurement SaaS Solution.

The application will have 35,000 users across the globe to manage Sourcing, Category Management, Supplier Management, Contracting, Catalog Management, Requisition to Pay, Reporting. The tool will be integrated to both JDE and SAP in addition to a data warehouse and several other applications. The project is scheduled to be deployed over a period of three years via multiple business unit deployment events.

The Testing Manager will be responsible of managing the system, integration and user testing for the applications, and coordinates remediation activities; as well as ensure that systems meet business and technical requirements

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree required (IT/technical field preferred)
12+ years of testing and test management experience within an Enterprise environment
Expert Level Knowledge and experience creating test plans, test cases Manual testing, and developing automated testing
Proven ability to work directly with business subject matter experts to develop a test scenarios and scripts to ensure deployment of quality Source to Pay Procurement tool required
Ability to lead project team and testing team through QA processes and while working with multiple work streams in an enterprise project required
Proven ability to work within Agile Scrum framework required
Strong understanding of the QA risks of dealing with high-traffic, high-availability production systems required
Knowledge and experience with testing large global applications required
Able to prioritize tasks for self and team to align with project goals
Proven history of thriving in a fast-paced environment, while dealing with ambiguity
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
Demonstrated ability to present the information to both IT and non-IT audiences
Comfortable working with customers in different time zones
Candidates local to Houston required.

Preferred

Knowledge in Procurement & Supply Chain Management business processes plus
Working knowledge with approaches and tooling for automated build, delivery, and maintenance is a plus
Prior knowledge/ experience with Ariba or GEP is a plus

Education: Bachelor’s Degree required (IT/technical field preferred)

Responsibilities:

Development of testing scripts
Manages overall offshore delivery center operations including offshore Project Leads
Manages offshore delivery center long-term resourcing strategy in alignment with QA Group's strategic growth plan
Manages knowledge retention and asset reuse
Aligns project delivery priorities with the Chevron Test Services Integration Lead
Communicates staffing (roll on- / roll-off status) management updates to the QA Group PMO
Provide regular executive summary status to QA Group Manager
Ensures that the team follows QA Group's quality requirements, testing standards, guidelines, and test methodology
Responsible for leadership of given project managing test activities on time and within budget while meeting quality objectives.
Determines requirements for test environments, test data, test infrastructure and tools and coordinate with CVX ITC.
Manages test team work effort and allocation throughout test planning, preparation and execution to ensure that testing is on time and within budget.
Ensures that the team follows QA Group's quality requirements, testing standards, guidelines, and test methodology.
Plans, schedules, and implements installs and patches (including 3rd party tools) using change management and release management processes.

Travel: Some US Travel will be required on occasion. Expenses will be covered by client.
