QA Tester
Location: Frankfort, KY
Duration: Long term indefinite

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
· An ideal candidate will support the KAVIS project management/leadership by:
· Active Role as a tester in TDD (Test Driven Development), Functional / Integration, Regression, and UAT Testing initiatives
· Experience with Team Foundation Server (TFS)/Automation scripting using TFS
· Develops, executes and maintains software test plans
· Develop manual test scripts for user interface, functionality, and system testing
· Execute regression tests, functional tests and data tests
· Log bugs/issues via an issue tracking tool, and help determine priority of reported bugs
· Provide internal Quality Assurance
· Report on progress of the test process
· Ability to manage change during the test process
· Verification testing in production to ensure the changes were properly installed
· Maintains documentation of test results to assist in validation and modification of software
· Administration of test control and statistics collection (i.e. defect tracking)
· Ability to work with technology and grasp new concepts quickly
· Ability to change based on prioritization
· Ability to demonstrate the application to end users if required
· High level of professionalism, energy and sense of urgency to make things happen
· Very detail oriented and able to deliver within very stringent timelines
· Ability to remain flexible to ensure the application is delivered and pull together as a team to create an environment for success
Baseline Position Requirement Guide
· University Degree in a relevant technical field; combination of experience and education may be substituted
· 3 - 5 years of experience with Quality Assurance Manual Testing
· Understanding, and hands-on experience with Application Development Lifecycle
· Experience with Agile and Iterative Development
· Experience with Team Foundation Server (TFS)
· Defect management and reporting systems knowledge
· IT Application Testing experience
· Exposure to MS SQL or MySQL preferred
· Programming experience a plus
· Ability to build and maintain solid working relationships across the organization
· Excellent problem solving, time-management and task prioritization skills
· Attention to understand prioritization of efforts
· Ability to explain issues and concepts, either verbally or in writing
· Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
· Strong analytical, design and problem solving skills
