Job Description:
This position is a role in quality assurance testing on ad server solutions, integrations, advertising technologies, and Adobe Analytics data validation in pre-production and post-production projects.
The Quality Assurance Data Analyst will report to the QA Manager of Ad Technology Solutions and will work to drive QA deliverables on behalf of Fox Network Group, Advanced Ad Products; additionally, identify, resolve, communicate, track, and report on all online advertising and analytics open project issues.
The role will:
- Conduct testing, track problems, and identify changes to ensure adherence to test plans and functional requirements.
- Diagnose, isolate, and identify problems related to web, video player and/or app failures caused by errors in software code.
- Use knowledge of system characteristics and utilize software based system maintenance and tracking tools.
- Test Adobe Analytics on multiple platforms to support mobile and video analytics and ad serving initiatives.
- Construct test plans per requirements and design while maintaining adherence to quality assurance control procedures.
- Follow test standards and the software development lifecycle defined by the organization.
- Document test plans and cases according to specifications.
- Develop plans, strategies and perform different types of testing on systems including testing for existing and new functionality, regression, integration, load, stress and ad hoc.
- Participate in requirements gathering and design sessions, and translate information gathered in those sessions into business process and system test documents and models.
- Process audience engagement from system entry to exit (end-to-end testing) and track and trouble-shoot issues with support, development and product management.
- Work with customers, Product Managers, Project Managers, Services and Support departments to understand business requirements and resolve issues.
The ideal candidate will have the minimum qualifications:
- 1-3 years’ experience in a technical digital role; metrics and analytics preferred.
- Strong experience with analytics, ad server, video, and mobile technology.
solutions; Free Wheel MRM, Google DFP, Adobe Analytics preferred.
- Strong experience with ad server, video, and mobile technology solutions.
- Experience working for and comfort with cross-functional teams using varied Project Management methodologies; prioritization, cost basis analysis, calculating ROI, etc.
- Strong experience with Quality Assurance testing, tools, and protocols, including: Charles, Fiddler, Wireshark, JIRA and TestRail.
- Experience as a subject matter expert on Quality Assurance Test Case generation and execution.
- Experience executing and validating Quality Assurance Testing.
- Experience troubleshooting analytics implementation, integration, and campaign issues.
- Experience with Inventory Management, Contract Management, Billing & Finance, and Reporting systems.
- Experience with Web, Mobile, and Video platforms: CMS, CDN
- Strong, effective business communication skills.
- Developer background preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
