Position: QA Salesforce Integration Tester
Location: Washington, DC
Duration: 6 months w/extensions
Interview Process: Face to face

The QA/QC Engineer will create a set of processes and procedures which would provide defect identification, reporting, and tracking for the various IT systems in development and in use. The QA/QC
Engineer will work with the SMEs, staff, developers, and vendors to ensure that defects are addressed in a systematic, timely, and financially responsible manner. The QA/QC Engineer will ensure
That systems are functional and usable by the end user before launch.

Duties and Responsibilities
Ensure testing covers the system end to end through development, deployment, and maintenance. Including:
Performance testing
Usability and functionality testing
UI testing
Effects of load
Stress on overall system
Application integration testing with both internal and external systems
Regression Testing
Other testing as needed

Validate reported defects and escalate to PM and system manager or developer.
Isolation and escalation of defects (no actual modification of code, content, etc.
Engage with system users and administrators to replicate and understand reported issues, document and track stages of necessary fixes throughout testing cycle, documenting all stages of QA process.
Identify, document, report and track solution discrepancies between expected and actual test results and assist developer in problem resolution.

Documentation:
Working closely with the Support Team, Training Specialist, and Project Manager, assist and/or create user guides and technical documents.
Create internal documents defining implementation and set-up of processes and best practices.
Participate in user requirement gathering, product design, and testability of products.
Develop the overall QA/QC strategy, policies and procedures for the organization.
Provide consistent testing metrics processes including defect trend reporting and test execution status to IT management.
Develop test strategies, test plans, test cases, test scripts.
Contribute to the development of solution requirements and release timelines as needed to guarantee quality and customer satisfaction and to ensure that adequate testing is factored in to the overall project plan.
Translates the Business requirements and technical design into comprehensive test plans and test cases assuring maximum requirements coverage.
Monitor and re-test defects that have been corrected by Development.
Develop, schedule, and perform user acceptance testing.

Required Skills
Thorough understanding of QA methodology with a history of successful execution
Good understanding of web architecture and technologies
Must be detail oriented and have excellent problem solving and communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to function effectively in a fast paced environment and manage continuously changing business needs
Basic knowledge of quality management tools
Extensive knowledge of the QA/QC process in the system development/implementation project process
Solid knowledge of IT and SW development concepts, strategies, and methodologies
Ability to review functional requirements and translate into test plans
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously to meet deadlines

Required Experience
Minimum 3+ years of QA experience with commercial software development teams
Minimum of 2 years of experience with an automation scripting tool
Proficient with both Windows and Macintosh operating system
Experience with cross browser testing
Experience in the non-profit environment not required, but preferred
Experience with contract management, CRM’s, websites, and/or learning systems
Experience in manual and automated functional testing of web based applications
Experience with Agile development methodologies
B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or equivalent
Must have worked in an agile environment.
