Job Title : QA Performance Architect
Location : Houston, TX
Duration : Long term

Minimum Experience required is 10+ Years

Responsibilities
Ownership of the performance test planning, script and framework development, execution and analysis on small to medium sized technology implementations.
Design appropriate test execution environment and communicate to appropriate teams for implementation.
Acquire in depth technical knowledge of testable products, determine root causes of performance issues and provide improvement recommendations to stakeholders.
Work as a strong agile team player with proficiency in time management and multitasking to meet deadlines and handle changing priorities.

Qualifications
Hands-on knowledge in test development using Unix OS.
Knowledge in design and configuration of scaled test environments.
Ability to plan and implement performance test frameworks, plans and tests.
Experience with JVM performance metrics.
Solid understanding of performance metrics related to networking, database requests, HTTP requests, routers and other system components.

Desired Skills
Ability to read and understand architecture diagrams.
JMeter or BlazeMeter experience is a plus.
Experience working with Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban is a plus.
Solid understanding of performance in QA processes, approaches, and software development life cycle with ability to apply that knowledge to daily operation.
Software development background is an advantage.
Business analysis skills are preferred, such as gathering or interpreting requirements and working with business users.
Possess excellent communication skills in order to successfully execute meetings with business and technology teams.
Highly self-motivated individual who is able to work with minimal guidance.
B.S. in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, MIS or other related field or equivalent work experience.
Experience in testing SaaS applications is a plus.
