Manager Role (Hands on)
Establish a QA team, need to lay out policy and strategy especially on the software side (how are they going to perform to expecations This person will set the strategy to the company. This one is looking at code quality (quality of the software applications
Back office application, as well least data integration, data ware housing (are these solutions providing what the business needs, how do they ensure the quality of setting strategies
Will lead to a team, have 1 QA person. Will grow into a standalone unit. For short term with report to DevOps manager
No real structure, currently running basic test cases
Main interest is how they measure quality, need to get to a point on how to measure the quality. How do they deliver quality if they don’t know how to measure it.
Been looking at automation tools, not tools set yet
Understand technical and talk to business
Agile is a must
Small company environment
Execution of actual testing (SQL, ready databases, whitebox texting, look at the date behind the scenes, understand how to do this)
QA certification is a strong advantage (CMSQ, CSTE, CSQA
Transactional system experience would be ideal.
Understand financial services business (huge plus)

We are seeking a Software QA Manager to build, lead and grow a talented team that tests and ensures quality of our proprietary products covering transactional, data integration, data warehouses, analytic systems, processes, and procedures. The candidate must have the ability to partner closely with senior management, operations and development teams in an agile environment and will be accountable for the design, implementation, and execution of a software quality assurance strategy across all Software Engineering and Data Services initiatives and projects assigned to their team members. Sets the strategic direction for the Test and Quality Assurance Team.
Manages a group of quality assurance associates who test, evaluate, and validate DevOps initiatives.
Works closely with Project and Product Managers to ensure that testing activities occur in a timely fashion and to the level of quality demanded by the governing standards and business requirements.
Works closely with other DevOps teams to coordinate current and future features, functionality, release plans and activities.
Ensures test cases, automated testing scripts, tools, practices, and procedures are created, maintained and followed in a diligent and organized manner.
Produce a concise and clear picture of product quality from concept to product release.

Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in Software Engineering or Computer Science.
8+ years’ experience in hands-on software quality assurance testing or engineering, including at least 4 years of experience in managing teams and projects.
Experience with resource management, providing test estimates, and forecasting of resources.
Extensive experience with test methods and tools.
Excellent communications, analytical and troubleshooting skills with a strong business acumen.
Ability to collaborate and communicate with developers, business analysts, business team members as well as senior Management.
Ability to adapt to time critical deadlines and changing priorities in fast pace environment.

QA certification is a strong advantage (CMSQ, CSTE, CSQA
Experience working with transactional systems, data warehousing and analytics technologies.
Experience with software development platforms such as Outsystems.
Experience with Business Intelligence solutions such as Looker and Telerik.
Experience with business-, process- and data integration technologies and processes such as Informatica, Snaplogic and WebMethods Integration
Understands Agile software development methodologies.
