Job description:
Represents the client and contributes to the recently implemented GeniSys system as the Quality Assurance (QA) Test Manager. GeniSys is built from GenTax, a commercial off-the-shelf product by Fast Enterprises. The GeniSys implementation was a four-year project that will be fully implemented by the end of the 2017 calendar year.
As the filing season progresses, there are many questions that arise as a result of the new system. The QA Test Manager will work with staff to develop a proper QA model, train staff on it and potentially implement an automated testing solution.
The QA Test Manager will collaborate with the staff that supports the GeniSys system, including a dedicated QA team, and report to the GeniSys project manager.
Skills:
1. At least 4 years as an SQA analyst on enterprise business applications with expertise in all standard testing methods.
2. Experience with programming language Visual Basic.NET.
3. Strong background in quality assurance testing for applications.
4. Ability to write and execute test plans from business requirements.
5. Ability to work with developers and business analysts to understand business rules and communicate defects.
6. Experience with developing an automated testing program, with the understanding that some may need to be homegrown.
7. Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and think creatively, outside the box.
