Job Description :
Responsibilities
· QA Automation Engineer responsible for developing & executing testing strategies, maintaining and extending automation framework and recommending QA process improvements. Focus on automated testing to accelerate test efforts
· Interact with PMO, business users and technology managers from other systems to understand requirements and system enhancements in order to prepare test plans.
· Participates in application functional review meetings, including new use case scenario requirements, size and scope of testing new components and recommending test strategy
· Conduct demo sessions to the Clients & Business Users to explain the framework and execution path
· Track work using JIRA tickets
· Review the QA deliverables by Offshore/Onsite teams
· Prepare and Maintain the test strategy, test design, test cases for applications under test.
· Perform test task estimation, test execution, Regression testing, Functional testing, automated testing where possible.
· Works with other IT and technology teams to refine technical specifications for test analysis and quality assurance.
· Effectively communicate with developers and other QA engineers and understand effectively how the business works with the associated data.
· Develop and maintain the manual and automated test scripts, functions / SQL code.
· Develop complex SQL queries using querying tools and relational database manipulation.
· Prepare test data to validate all positive and negative scenarios.
· UAT scenario validation for the business conditions given by business analyst team
· Work on Unix environments to deploy applications, work with files etc
· Good to Have - Develop Hive queries and Test data on Hadoop systems
· Good to Have – exposure to AWS Cloud systems (EC2, EMR, etc)
Education and Experience skills
· BE degree in related technology field
· 7+ years of Manual, SQL, Unix, Automation
· 2+ years of QA Lead experience
· Experience in working in an SDLC model or comfortable in working in a process oriented environment.
· Good to Have - Experience in AWS, Hadoop & Hive
· Good to Have - Capital Markets domain experience
