QA ENGINEER
Overview and Responsibilities:
The Client is looking for a passionate, self-motivated software test engineer to handle all aspects of testing (functional, performance, load, security, etc) across a large multiplatform environment. This individual will be assisting with the development of processes and tools that allow the organization to excel in its continuous software development initiatives. As code is being delivered multiple times per day, test coverage and automation is crucial to maintaining the high level of quality our consumers deserve across our diverse platform.
Principal Responsibilities:
Work on product/project teams developing test plans, test cases and automation scripts
Operate in an agile software development process focused on testing new features within an iteration and providing near immediate feedback to engineers through both manual testing and automation
Develop clear and concise bug reports
Perform load / performance testing where applicable
Perform exploratory and regression testing in addition to automation
Contribute to and help maintain the testing framework for various types of testing (functional, load/performance, security) on multiple platforms (web, iOS/Android, emerging platforms)
Effectively communicate complex and/or difficult information to both technical and non-technical audiences
Work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment supporting many products on varied release cycles
Be flexible and willing to learn both independently and with other team members
Basic Qualifications:
5+ years experience within a test engineering role working in an agile environment
5+ years of developing test automation scripts using object oriented frameworks in Selenium, Appium, Webdriver
5+ years experience with at least one of popular programming languages (Java, C#, PHP, JavaScript, Ruby, Python Experience in Java strongly preferred
Additional Qualifications:
Experienced in DB testing (MySQL)
Experience working in a CI/CD environment
Experienced testing Native Apps using proxy tools (Charles, Fiddler)
Experienced with API testing
Experienced using ticket and test case management tools (Jira, TestRail)
Knowledge of web-related technologies (Web applications, web services, service-oriented architectures) and network/web related protocols
