Job Description
Violin Systems is a private all flash array storage technology company based in San Jose, California. It produces hardware and software products for data storage, specifically data storage arrays that use the iSCSI and Fibre Channel protocols and includes data reduction and data protection features for enterprise customers of Fortune 500 companies.
Roles and Responsibilities
Provide direction and supervision to the team of Engineers responsible for quality assurance with an automation first strategy.
Work closely with cross functional teams, including product management, development, test infrastructure and support team in an agile environment.
Develop resource plans and schedules and participate in cross-functional release and roadmap planning.
Deep understanding of storage technologies like dedupe, snapshots, replications is must.
Participate in technical communication within the team and with other groups.
Coach and mentor Engineers on regular basis to drive productivity and efficiency.
Establish and implement best practices for quality assurance processes.
Qualifications:
BS or equivalent degree in computer science/electronics/telecommunication.
Industry experience delivering enterprise class data storage products.
Experience and strong understanding of concepts related to quality assurance and automation.
Experience in managing offshore teams is a must.
Solid communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills and must be comfortable working in a very dynamic and collaborative work environment.
8-10+ years of experience in storage, scalability and/or systems environments with proven record managing QA teams for at least 3-5 years.
Degree in Computer Science or Engineering; or equivalent work experience
