Job Title: QA Automation Engineer
Duration: 6 Months
Location: Phoenix, Arizona
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Designs, maintains, and updates the automation framework built from readyAPI and Groovy.
Works heavily with Groovy Scripting to add functionality to the framework.
Updates, maintains, and validates SQL Server Database tables that contain centralized groovy code, test artifacts, and test data setup.
Creates TFS build definitions for automated test executions
Uses TFS source control management for ReadyAPI projects
Created base ReadyAPI projects for manual testers
Designs, writes, executes, and maintains automated test scripts for various web services, TIBCO modules, and EMS topics/queues.
Collaborates with QA Analysts to plan, develop and maintain automation regression tests.
Assists and supports QA analysts in understanding technical aspects of the supported applications.
Provides estimates for automation tasks.
Provides engineering support for testing approach design and tools on projects of peers and junior associates. Performs the setup, upgrade, testing and administration of tools used by the testing team
Actively communicates testing status, including schedule, risks, issues, defects, and potential impacts.
Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree in CS/CE/CIS/MIS/Engineering/Technology a related field or equivalent experience and or training.
SoapUI (ReadyAPI) and Groovy Scripting experience required.
Experience in automated test case suites maintenance, including creation of new tests, automated test scheduling, execution and test logs analysis.
4+ years of application development experience, preferably with Java or Groovy.
4+ years of hands on experience of test automation of web services.
Experience in testing SOA and Web Services preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge of programming using Java (Groovy uses the java platform
Knowledge of relational databases (SQL7, Oracle
Demonstrated understanding of Quality Management, testing techniques, methodologies, processes, tools, artifacts and measurements (TFS experience is a HUGE plus
Strong analytical skills.
Airline experience is a plus.
Full SDLC experience, Agile/DevOps preferred.
