Responsibilities:
Responsible for testing activities focused on product functionality, performance, reliability, stability and compatibility of product lines.
Accountable for solving, spending time planning, organizing, and remaining on test task activities until the problem is resolved.
Creates test plans and scripts. Executes scripts based on project priorities.
Performs research to define the cause of the problem, offers solutions to the development team to create resolution.
Works closely with the developers and/or product support representatives to reproduce, isolate and resolve product anomalies or design issues.
Analyzes test results, identifying and documenting defects.
Coordinates with team leader for final configuration testing, certification and project approval
Creates QA documentation based on project functionality and deliverables.
Makes recommendations to enhance existing test suites and test cases for future regression.
Integrates test suites into a test management system.
Monitors and reports on project test status.
Identifies issues that my impeded attainment of go and recommends and implements corrective measures.
Executes automated test suites using automation tools.
May be required to coordinate test activities of other staff members providing direction, and reporting activities to management.
Requirements:
Must have a Bachelor''s Degree and 2 to 4+ years of experience; education and experience may be substituted for each other where applicable.
Familiar with QA principles, inspection techniques and testing procedures.
Experienced with quality management software and processes, software development lifecycle.
Experience with test management and defect tracking software tools required.
Experience with QA automation tools required.
Must have previous experience in QA analyst or tester role.
Must be able to create clear and concise detailed test plans/cases.
Ability to understand and create test plans from specifications or verbal communications.
Proven data analysis, data verification and problem solving abilities.
Experience with work in a collaborative and rapidly changing environment.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task as well as being able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to converse easily and clearly with colleagues and business partners.
Good verbal and written communication skills to present findings from issue analysis.
Attention to detail, sense of ownership and follow-through in the work.
Constantly partners with peers and leaders.
