Job Description :
Responsibilities

Defines and tracks quality assurance metrics such as defects, defect
counts, test results and test status
Collects and analyzes data for software process evaluation and
improvements, and integrates them into business processes to address the
business needs
Documents all problems and assists in their resolution
Delivers quality process training to technical staff and acts as an
internal quality consultant to advise or influence business or technical
partners
Performs quality audits across the various IT functions to ensure
quality standards, procedures and methodologies are being followed


Daily Tasks Performed

1. Analyze Business Requirements & Technical Specs to determine testing required for fix/enhancement.
2. Raise questions to clarify vague documentation from Biz or Tech teams.
3. Determine high level estimate for test effort.
4. Create test plan or test matrix to uncover all scenarios required, including regression testing.
5. Write detailed test scripts.
6. Evaluate time frames for length of test scenarios compared to test calendar 7. Understand test priorities and plan day to day testing activities 8. Execute test scripts accurately & efficiently.
9. Capture meaningful test results.
10. Effectively communicate issues uncovered by testing.

Musts

Hands on Financial Services testing experience & excellent
communications skills, both written & verbal.
Able to work independently and display great flexibility to changing
situations.
Proactive in all aspects of assignments
BA/BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, or field or
equivalent work experience
Broad knowledge of QA practices, policies and methodologies
Broad knowledge in creating and maintaining Quality/Assurance
documentation (Test plan, test cases/scripts defect reports/analysis,
etc
Strong ability in using QA functional and performance testing tools to
create, maintain and execute test scripts
Broad knowledge in SQL using Oracle and/or SQL server
Strong ability to multi-task and perform testing on multiple
simultaneous projects
Strong ability to self direct with a high degree of initiative, ability
to learn and adapt to new technologies quickly
Strong ability to document and concisely communicate problems to
developers


Business Experience

2 to 3 years system development, testing, and/or business experience

Wants

Automotive Finance industry experience;
Lending industry experience; Leasing experience a big plus
A team player
Strong background in Quality Center and screen capture functionality
Experience with testing legacy systems as well as new technology
Write & execute SQL Queries
Quickly learns, comprehends and retains new functionalities and
processes
Flexibility to adjust to changing situations thoughtfully and calmly
Familiarity with TSO/FileAid
