Required Skills:
* 5+ years testing experience.
* Experience writing test plans, test cases, testing and recording test res=
ults.
* Effectively manages priorities and understand the QA role in the SDLC.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Writing and executing test cases for web-based applications.
* Hands on experience with MS Office Suite.
Preferred Experience:
* Basic knowledge of relational databases and how to create queries
* Prior experience with HRMS solution implementations
* JIRA and Test Management for JIRA
* Automation experience particularly with Open Source Tools
Job Description:
The State of Maine SOMER Project Team is recruiting for a QA Analyst to sup=
port manual testing of a COTS HRMS application. The anticipated duration of=
the assignment will go through December 2018. Preference will be given to =
local candidates with expert English language (verbal and written) who have=
demonstrated ability to deliver quality in a dynamic environment with limi=
ted direction/support.
* Extrapolate and collate information from various sources to develop compr=
ehensive and accurate test cases. E.g. Business Requirements, Technical Des=
ign Documents, Process Flow Diagrams, Interviews with SME''s and Business Ow=
ners, Application Documentation, etc.
* Execute complex test cases accurately and proficiently
* Ability to research and troubleshoot issues and clearly document defects
* Create basic queries to identify test data and populate test cases
* Conduct peer reviews of test cases and business assets as appropriate
* Ability to quickly understand concepts and apply practical solutions
* Working knowledge of QA Best Practices with the ability to contribute to =
foundational development discussions for longer term application testing su=
pport
