Position: Mid-Level Python/Django Developer
Location: Washington, DC- Union Station
Duration: Long term
Qualifications:
We are looking for experienced python developers with the following qualifications:
3 - 10 years of experience in developing scalable and high-performing web applications.
Django (or similar experience with other Python web frameworks) for rapidly developing web applications.
Experience with REST and/or SOAP based APIs consumption and creation.
Strong database skills with MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.
git/github Linux python
Assist developers in deployment of Ruby on Rails, Python, Java, Node.JS, web based environments.
Deep commitment to test driven development using tools like behave to drive Automated Acceptance Tests (AAT
Experience working with HTML5, CSS3, ERB, SCSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
Familiarity with deploying applications to the cloud using Heroku, Amazon Web Services, or similar services.
Design skills with experience in object-oriented methodologies, design patterns, database design, and data modeling.
4 year college degree in computer science or engineering is preferred.
Bonus:
Ansible (or some other automated build technology - chef, puppet, etc
Jenkins (or some other CI experience - Travis, TeamCity, etc. )
Familiarity with continuous delivery concepts
Modern build pipelines for deployments
Agile AWS Docker New Relic Monitoring (or any environment monitoring tool)
