We are seeking developers who have expertise creating solutions using the Python language. The ideal candidate will have an open mind, bring a fresh perspective to the team and be passionate about protecting, defending and responding to information security related events. The team provides real-time (or near real-time) detection and reaction services for information security incidents within the Company enterprise.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Developing new functional capabilities within software applications to meet a wide range of customer requirements and operational needs.
Responsible for performing development, integration, test and documentation duties to ensure proper operation of hardware and software platforms.
Integrating a wide variety of applications from various sources, and ensuring they meet performance standards for stability and resource utilization.
Adhere to accepted standards for development, including writing unit tests which provide a high percentage of code coverage, participating in peer code reviews, conducting design reviews, and generating test plans to ensure maximum stability and quality of code.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
5+ years of software development experience.
Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
Proficiency in Windows, Unix and/or Linux.
Knowledge and understanding of software development life cycles.
Willingness and ability to leam new development languages and techniques.
Strong software development skills and demonstrated experience in languages such as Python, Perl, C/C++, PowerShell, etc.
Experience working with an Integrated Development Environment (IDE
Experience working with one or more databases such as Postgres, Mongo, SQL, etc.
Experience with version control systems.
Demonstrated experience using REST/SOAP/XML or other API.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of configuration management software such as Salt, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, etc.
Experience with at least one web framework.
SANS Certifications, ideally GCIH, GCFE, GREM, GCFA.
Understanding of IDS & IPS technologies, both signature and behavior based.
Advanced knowledge of Host Forensics, Malware Reverse Engineering, or Network Forensic.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
Bachelor''s degree in computer science or 12 years of relevant experience.
