JOB TITLE: Project Manager/Change Manager
LOCATION: 123 Main Street, White Plains, NY 10601
DURATION: 8 Months

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Enterprise Risk has undertaken the implementation of a new, multi-application software solution for managing Enterprise Commodity Risk. This implementation will enable NYPA to manage the value and risk of its generation as well as its customer load over at least five years with the capability of extended analysis over twenty years. Multiple departments/business functions will be affected by the new solution and significant change management will be needed throughout the project timeline
The change manager will play a key role in ensuring that the Energy Commodity Risk Management Solution software implementation meets the projects objectives on time and on budget by increasing employee adoption and usage. The change manager will:
Create actionable deliverables for the five change management levers: communications plan, sponsor roadmap, coaching plan, training plan, resistance management plan
Provide leader and manager support and engagement through coaching
Identify organizational & role responsibilities across functions as it relates to the software implementation
Coordinate efforts with the vendor and IT PMO
Integrate change management activities into project plan
Analyze learning and training needs, including vendor training solutions, manage training roll out
Evaluate and ensure user readiness across all impacted groups
Demonstrated expertise and experience in developing presentations and collateral materials to support the initiatives.
Track and report issues
Define and measure success metrics and monitor change progress

Mandatory Requirements:

Required Skills: Candidates must have experience in the skills indicated below:
A solid understanding of how people go through a change and the change process
Experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools
Familiarity with project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle
Demonstrated knowledge, expertise and experience in communicating new initiatives both internally and externally to stakeholders in a manner that educates them of the nature, purpose, and value of the initiative and how the initiative could be used by the stakeholders.
Demonstrate expertise and experience in developing presentations and collateral materials to support the initiatives
Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships
Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations
Resilient and tenacious with a propensity to persevere
Problem solving and root cause identification skills
Able to work effectively at all levels in an organization
Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively with and through others
Acute business acumen and understanding of organizational issues and challenges

Education and Certifications
Bachelors’ degree in business, psychology, organizational development or similar.
Experience working in or with utilities, governmental entities or a risk function is preferred.
Change Management practitioner certification

Work Schedule
Monday through Friday
7.5 hour work day with required .5 hour unpaid lunch
Paid for time worked only; there are no paid holidays, vacation or sick days
Overtime is not permitted unless authorized in advanced.
