Required Skills:
BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems
Minimum of 10 years in the lead role on projects valued at $5 million or larger.
PMP certified, CSM preferred
Experience managing, developing and deploying systems within the occupational healthcare industry
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong work ethic to effect change
Ability to multi-task, be self-directed and present findings to management in layman terms
Descriptions : (10 Years)
Leading a team to deliver healthcare related project(s) for the Occupational Health and Wellness group.The IT Project manager will manage resources, schedules, financials and adhere to stage gate quality and SDLC control guidelines throughout the full systems development life cycle as defined by WMATA. This also includes management of issues, risks and project change requests to ensure successful and on-time project delivery. Contribute to process improvement initiatives as it relates to improving project delivery.
Responsibilities:
Full project life cycle ownership: successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation to deployment for one major or several OHAW initiatives
Manage all aspects of multiple related healthcare projects to ensure the overall program is aligned to and directly supports the achievement of strategic objectives
Report on project success criteria results, metrics, test and deployment management activities
Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation and Excellence
Prepare estimates and detailed project plan for all phases of the project
Manage the day-today project activities and resources and chairs the project management team meetings
Provide status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverable, dependencies, risks and issues, communicating across leadership Identify and develop trusted adviser relationship with project and program stakeholders and sponsors Ensure that projects and programs are proceeding according to scope, schedule, budget and quality standards Information technology professional with experience with occupational medicine subject matter including community health and health-related policy issues such as benefits, product safety value management, with a strong emphasis on compliance.
Experience working with sensitive data, specifically HIPAA, OSHA & DOT compliance and security
Experience with medical applications eMR, eHR or Occupational Health Data Management Interpersonal skills.
Must be able to listen, communicate effectively and clearly, and collaborate with many people inside and outside of OHAW organization. Leadership skills. Will be the central POC for answers and project updates regarding OHAW.
Lead projects and motivate others to complete them according to budgets, schedules and standards.
Problem solving skills.
Must be able to face many unexpected challenges to meet goals and schedules.
Find solutions and resolve issues in a timely manner either collaboratively or on their own.
Multitasking skills. Must be well organized and be able to setup processes that become standard within OHAW.
Flexibility. Must be flexible when issues will arise that threaten project goals.
