Title: Project Manager (Pharma Domain)
Location: Raritan, NJ
Rate: $70/hr
Project manager supporting research focused on IT One Safety & Pharmacovigilance. Position will help coordinate the IT efforts in support of the enterprise wide Pharmacovigilance efforts & will need strong organization and communication skills and be able to keep the staff motivated. Ideal candidate would have prior client or Pharmacovigilance efforts experience.
Role:
Under general supervision of the Program Manager, oversees multiple projects or one larger project.
In addition to duties of Project Manager I, responsible for assembling project team, assigning individual responsibilities, identifying appropriate resources needed, and developing schedule to ensure timely completion of project.
May communicate with a Program heads, Functional Area Manager, or Program regarding status of specific projects. (PMI definition)
Project Manager
Vendor management skills or equivalent experience
Resource Planning
Facilitation skills
Team leadership, delegation and creating project vision
Negotiation skills training or equivalent experience
Technical Skills
Must have come from development background and experienced in Business Intelligence, Big Data space. Namely – worked with data modelling, data warehouses, integrations (ETL), databases and last but not least – Visualization tools such as Qlik, Spotfire or Tableau.
PM Skills
PMI or Prince 2 an advantage but not a must, must have managed projects from technical delivery perspective. Ability to manage and create plans in MS Project, manage financials. Must have ability to lead technical teams for delivery. Strong people management, plan creation and management are still needed. Person needs to be able to get into low level details to create and manage delivery successfully.
Strong communication skills and experience working with business teams, offshore teams, near shore teams
