Title: Project Manager (Local to TX)
Location: Austin, TX
Daily Duties / Responsibilities:
Specific Project Manager duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
1. Use project management methodologies to manage tasks throughout all phases of the projects in the portfolio.
2. Ensure all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
3. Develop project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
4. Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors and ensure resource availability and allocation
5. Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation to include a project charter, detailed project plan to track progress, communication plan, status reports, meeting minutes, etc.
6. Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs
7. Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
8. Report and escalate to management as needed
9. Perform risk management to minimize project risks
PREFERRED SKILLS (RANK IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE):
1. Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
2. Ability to establish positive working relationships with technical staff, customers and others involved in data-centric management.
3. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to multi-task
4. Ability to integrate technical systems with agency goals and objectives.
6. Ability to direct and motivate team members to successfully accomplish tasks
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Bachelor''s or Master''s Degree in a relevant field of work or equivalent work experience. Possesses 5-7 years of relevant work experience.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS:
PMP Certification – required
