Job Description
The role of the Project Manager is to plan, execute, and finalize projects according to defined timelines and within the allocated budget. The Project Manager is responsible for ensuring that business and end users are consulted with and their input garnered for the project at hand.
Jefferson County is launching an organizational change initiative, called Resilient Jeffco, that targets innovation, process improvement, and inter-agency collaboration.
The primary role of the Resilient Jeffco Project Manager will be to plan, execute, and finalize strategies, projects, and metrics within the scope of Resilient Jeffco. Additionally, the Project Manager will be responsible for working with and inspiring staff and/or county executives, both in a facilitation and technical capacity.
Responsibilities:
Facilitating and providing support to a number of working groups which bring members together to research, test and integrate innovations into Jefferson County operations.
Use appropriate project management tools, reports, templates, mentoring, training, and coaching to project teams.
Coaching staff on how to best develop Resilient Jeffco strategies, outcomes, and metrics to executive teams.
Assisting agency executive management, division directors, and staff and leading project tasks, resources.
Utilize project management best practices, including risk management, quality management, change management, change control and communication.
Manage by providing leadership, collaboration, supervision, training, guidance and support to all project team members on assigned projects.
Working with county public engagement experts and staff to developing visioning materials to communicate Resilient Jeffco.
