Description:
Responsible for the coordination and completion of projects within the information technology department
Oversees all aspects of projects
Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors and summarizes progress of project
Builds and maintains working relationships with team members, vendors, and other departments involved in the projects
Prepares reports for upper management regarding status of project
Responsibilities:
Seeking a high-level Sr. Project Manager to manage two primary projects for Express Way
Project 1: Electronic Cargo Report – Consist of transferring a manual paper process/form to an electronic scanning process. The Cargo report captures how many bags and the total weight that is being added to a flight. The report is currently manually processed and the project will move this process to an electronic system
Project 2: Real time Eventing – Dealing with real time updates for flights, maintenance, and crew information. Project is to capture more real-time updates across 8 express partners and convey that information back to the dashboard for up to date flight information (delays, changes, reroutes, etc
Individual will split their time 50/50 between the two projects
Primary focus – project timelines, scheduling calls, reviewing/updating requirements, mentoring the QA team, meeting with vendors, and providing updates to management
In addition to Project Management responsibilities, this individual will be responsible for assisting with some analytical aspects of the project as needed
Both projects currently in Vison phase
Requirements:
6-8 years as and IT Project Manager
Bachelor’s degree required
Must have a background with large IT projects and working
Experience working with external vendors and backend real-time eventing projects required
Prior Analytics experience highly preferred
Experience with TIBCO, DB processing, XML, and Couchbase preferred
Airline, logistics, or transportation industry preferred
