Project Manager
Location: Horsham, PA / Philadelphia, PA
Terms: 6 months contract to hire (no visa sponsorship available)

Local Candidates Only – In-Person Interview Must

Notes:
Position will primarily be based partially in Philadelphia and partially in Horsham PA
Ideally would like a candidate who has some experience in newspaper, magazine, advertising, or some other subscription-based company
Will manage system integration, data migration, coordinate with Product Management and offshore development team, etc.


RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide regular communication of project status and issues requiring escalation
Assure strong, positive management practices throughout the team including collaboration, objective setting, succession planning and career development
Define project plan and determine the best course of action to achieve the client''s goals and expected deliverables.
Demonstrate strong knowledge of newspaper publishing and related technology.
Manage offshore full SDLC in an offshore delivery model
Obtain resource commitments from the client and assemble client review teams.
Work with key client resources to identify project risks and develop appropriate risk mitigation plans.
Ensure project objectives are met by monitoring and measuring progress regularly to identify variances from the plan and take corrective action as necessary.
Schedule and facilitate project team meetings to ensure all deployment requirements are effectively communicated to team members.
Perform status reporting to communicate progress to project sponsors, and key stakeholders.
Maintain an issues list and communicate key issues to project sponsors, and key stakeholders.
Oversee all aspects of project management and ensure the successful completion of deliverables.
Provide executive status to company and client organization.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
Self-starter/self-directed
Demonstrated ability to work cross functionally
Demonstrated ability to work in fast paced/fast changing environment
Strong business acumen
Experience in a customer-facing role requiring a high level of individual responsibility, sound business judgment and large enterprise account management, where an aptitude for improving customer satisfaction was successfully demonstrated
5+ years of project management experience and knowledge
Working knowledge of subscription billing systems
Previous experience in managing a large data migration effort
Previous experience in managing offshore development
Ability to quickly learn new technology
Excellent presentation and communication skills
Must be a team player, able to work closely with cross-functional support groups
Ability to effectively prioritize and multi-task, flexibility and comfort in fast-changing and ambiguous environments
PMP and/or CSM certification a plus
Bachelor of Science in technical or business degree or equivalent experience
