Project Manager - Supply Chain WMS Resource

3 months contract to Hire (Only GC or citizens)

Chicago (Cumberland south exit of I90)

This role is responsible for understanding and applying project management process and framework to Supply Chain IT project activities to meet or exceed the needs and expectations of all project stakeholders – including the customer. This includes the management of critical project components including project integration, scope, time, cost, quality, human resource, communications, risk, and warehouse logistics through all phases of the systems life cycle.



1. Core Job Responsibilities:

· Develops and implements a comprehensive project plan, encompassing resource requirements, implementation, testing and training plans, creation of a control plan identifying both business processes, and IT platform requirements for the successful project execution.

· Documents processes by using standard methods, formats, and tools to create project or process documentation.

· Works with various Business and IT Operations Managers to ensure Scope, and Quality of project meets Global Supply Chain and IT needs.

· Assess request for changes to scope, identifying issues and risks that may impact project. Works with management and sponsor to gain agreement for resolution. Identifies critical path decisions, makes recommendations and influences program leaders and business process owners to maximize project payback.

· Manages daily activities, issue resolution and communication across project execution teams to deliver projects on-time, on-budget, as-requested.

· Resolves issues related to business use of implemented systems or processes by working with systems or process owners and project teams to find acceptable solutions.

· Ensure conformance to system architecture, standards, and practices.

Requirements

2. Skill levels – work experience:

· Strong conceptual understanding of Supply Chain Logistics, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), order management, inventory with JDA and other systems related strategic fundamentals.

· Practical skills in eliciting user requests and translating them into data, functional, quality, and usability requirements.

· Minimum of 5 to 7 years of hands-on project management experience.

· Exceptional organizational multitasking and time management skills.

· Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

· Excellent communication skills are mandatory.

· Proficient in MS office suite of products.

· Strong work ethics.



3. Education and experience:

· Bachelor’s Degree with a technology related focus (or relevant number of years’ experience)

· Project management professional with PMP certification



4. Preferred:

· Solid understanding of warehousing and logistics

· Ability to engage with the business to analyze and document business process requirements.

· Thorough understanding of integration points between system master data and functions

· Experience in wholesale warehouse and distribution (consumer products preferred)

· Supplier Management experience

Experience with large scale implementations
