Job Description:
This position will be assigned to manage the projects described above and possibly others based on Public Safety priorities and resource availability. The Project Manager will work directly with ITS and business partner senior executive and other staff in the implementation of multi-faceted, high visibility projects.
Daily activities will include but not be limited to:
Defining and managing project scope, schedule and budget for IT projects
Facilitating successful completion of IT projects by working across project team boundaries in a matrix environment to secure resources, resolve issues and set project timeline and milestones.
Identifying project risks and dependencies and providing mitigation strategies to ensure project success
Communicating project status to team members as well as management, including project status presentations to executives within the ITS Public Safety Cluster as well as with Public Safety Business Partners.
Candidates should have at least 84 months experience and a majority of the following should apply:

1. At least 84 months experience working directly with COBOL 74 and/or 85 programming on Unisys 2200 series or ClearPath mainframe, including monitoring production work, error diagnostics/debugging, system analysis and design, program, unit and integrated testing. #of months
2. At least 36 months in coordinating project activities among other team members, users, and/or requestors. #of months
3. At least 36 months managing application systems development. #of months
4. At least 12 months developing Oracle (SQL) stored procedures. #of months
5. At least 36 months performing real-time transaction programming using structured programming techniques, including system analysis and design, code walk-throughs and integrated testing. #of months
