Position: Project Manager
Location: Dallas, Texas
Duration: Full time
Duties and Responsibilities:
Review contract document/drawings for new projects and understand the scope of work, detailing preferences, priority and submission dates required by the client (Fabricators / Contractors / Placers)
Coordinate all detailing requirements such as getting answers from the client for the RFI’s raised by the detailing team.
File and record drawings/information on all jobs in order to quickly answer questions from the client, such as the statuses for submission dates, releases, revised drawings, etc.
Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to the detailing team when more interpretation is required.
When required by the client, coordinate efforts between the site contacts, production contacts, their own client’s contacts and our own detailing team.
Responsible for coordinating all activities with the various departments to ensure high efficiency in providing a quality service to the customer in a timely fashion. Scheduling the job will be crucial and ensuring drawings are approved, the rebar is fabricated and delivered to the job site as the schedule requires.
Occasionally travel to job sites to resolve or assist others in resolving placing problems, obtaining information for detailing and assisting the fabricator to coordinate with project managers and foremen.
Although not a requirement, an added advantage for candidates who can incorporate minor changes on the CAD drawings and to take releases during emergency situations.
Preferred Qualification:
High School Diploma
Project coordination experience between Rebar Detailing and the Job site.
Knowledge of the CRSI manual of Standard practices, Reinforced Concrete Construction and basic Engineering Practices are of high importance.
Rebar Detailing experience would be beneficial.
Knowledge of/Experience with AutoCAD, RebarCAD and/or Microstation.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, PDF tools.
Organizational skills and a sense of urgency.
