Job Description:
The role of each PM is to apply IT project management and vendor management expertise in the completion of several waterfall projects of various size and complexity. The PM is to work alongside other PMs and be assigned projects from TxDOT’s portfolio of transformational application, infrastructure, and security projects. This is a sole contributor role in a highly collaborative environment, responsible for driving high quality results with vendors and stakeholders of TxDOT, one of the State’s largest agencies. This is an evolving role in a changing environment. The role is responsible for completing other projects and tasks as assigned and for adhering to TxDOT and IMD’s processes and standards.

II. WORKER SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Requirements:
Years Skills/Experience
6 Demonstrated expertise and experience in all aspects of IT project management – including but not limited to completing and managing: statements of work, procurements, business cases, solution delivery, project closes, and reporting on overall project progress.
6 Highly competent applying project management theories and practices to complex, cross- enterprise IT initiatives with more than 1,000 stakeholders.
6 Demonstrated experience in delivering project scope on time, within budget, and to the specified level of quality.
6 Demonstrated expertise in delivering high levels of customer satisfaction and organizational benefits.
6 Experience in one or more of the following: Transformational, COTS solutions, packaged applications, custom application development, infrastructure, and security projects.
6 Expert skills in oral and written communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution.
4 High-level skills in utilizing collaboration and project management tools, such as MS Office Suite, MS Project, SharePoint, and enterprise PPM tools (e.g., Innotas
DEGREE Bachelor Degree in related discipline.

Preferences:
Years Skills/Experience
3 Public Sector project management experience with a state government or federal organization, particularly with a department of transportation.
3 Texas Contract Management Certification Training (CTCM
3 Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.
3 Relevant IT certifications.
