Overview

We have an immediate need for a Project Manager with Information Security experience.

 

The Project Manager is responsible for planning, leading, organizing, and motivating project teams to achieve a high
level of performance and quality in delivering projects that provide exceptional business value to users. While the
Agile method is the first method under consideration for project management, the project manager may be
responsible for managing several concurrent high visibility projects using Waterfall or hybrid (e.g. mix of Agile and
Waterfall), methods in a fast-paced environment that may cross multiple divisions or departments. The project
manager may play a number of different roles in actual practice: 

At an enterprise level, leading and managing large, complex enterprise-level projects consisting of multiple teams
and/or requiring integration with other activities outside the scope of the primary project team 

At a team level, playing a consultative role to help put in place the appropriate people, process, and tools and coaching members of the team as needed to optimize the efficiency of the project team 

In situations that require a hybrid (i.e. Agile-Waterfall) approach, using good judgment and skill to develop a project
management approach that is suitable for planning and managing the effort to achieve the project goals within
designated project constraints 

In performing these roles, the project manager will be expected to use a high level of knowledge and experience in
blending Waterfall project management principles and practices with an Agile development approach in the right
proportions to fit large, complex, mission-critical, enterprise-level projects and with the appropriate level of planning
and provide the right balance of agility and predictability.

This position must be an excellent communicator with the ability to effectively communicate and present technical information to all levels of the organizationamp;nbsp;
Responsibilities

Define project scope, schedule, and staffing needs while focusing on regular and timely delivery of value; organize and lead project status and working meetings; prepare and distribute progress reports; manage risks and issues; correct deviations from plans; and perform delivery planning for assigned
projectsamp;nbsp;

Assist in team development while holding teams accountable for their commitments, removing roadblocks to their
work; leveraging organizational resources to improve capacity for project work; and mentoring and developing team
membersamp;nbsp;

Support business and technology application owners in managing customer expectations for
project deliverables, managing stakeholder communications, and helping to implement an effective system of project
governanceamp;nbsp;

Define and manage a well-defined project management processes, train staff in these processes, and
champion ongoing process improvement initiatives to implement best practices for Agile project
managementamp;nbsp;

Promote empowerment of the team, ensure that each team member is fully engaged in the project and making a
meaningful contribution, and encourage a sustainable pace with high-levels of quality for the teamamp;nbsp;

Work closely with functional areas, technical teams and clients to define systems/project
priorities, scope, approach, resource requirements, timing deliverables and fundingamp;nbsp;

Analyze business and technology options for IT deployment and strategic planningamp;nbsp;

Assist in troubleshooting technical problems and identifies mitigation strategies for technical issues and
risksamp;nbsp;

Learn new technology and other computer-related concepts through informal mechanisms
including journals, books, information lectures, participation user group conferences, participation in off-site training,
enlisting input from peer network of professional staffs within IT industryamp;nbsp;

Organize and chair meetings as requested to facilitate communicationamp;nbsp;

Perform other related duties as assigned or directed in order to meet the goals and objectives of the
departmentamp;nbsp;

Maintain regular and predictable attendance.

Minimum Education

Bachelor''s Degree in Computer Science or related field is required.

Master''s Degree in Information Systems, or Computer Science or related field is a plus.

Minimum Experience

Five (5) years demonstrated technical project management or project engineer experience managing large, complex projects with multi-function teams in a dynamic and progressive environment.

Solid understanding of software development life cycle models as well as expert knowledge of both Agile and
Waterfall project management principles and practices and the ability to blend them together in the right proportions
to fit a project and business environment

A proven track record of successfully implementing enterprise software, mobile applications, or web development
projects using Agile methodologies

Prior experience with SCRUM/Agile methodologies with enterprise-level application development projects.

Experience overseeing multi-function project teams including Developers, Business Analysts, and QA Personnel

Balanced business/technical background including 1) Sufficient level of technical background to provide highly-
credible leadership to development teams and to be able to accurately and objectively evaluate complex project risks
and issues and 2) Ability to provide guidance and collaborate with customers and develop strategies and solutions of
high business value

Experience with the Identity life cycle and implementation of Identity & Access Management is a plus.

Experience or knowledge of SailPoint IdentityIQ (IIQ) technology or related technologies is a plus.

Other Credentials

Any of the following certifications, PMP or PMI-ACP or PgMP is required.

CSM certification is a plus. ITIL Foundations or comparable IT service management (ITSM) framework certification is a plus
