Job Description
Our Client is seeking a highly motivated and qualified Project Lead to assist with the management of high priority projects. The successful candidate will join a dynamic project team developing and supporting systems which utilizes state of the art technology. A positive attitude with a focus on results, excellent communication skills, proven analytical skills, the ability to work successfully with business partners and effective participation in a team environment are key to this position.
This position provides the opportunity for the individual to be involved in innovative system development efforts for two of our high priority projects. One being CTMS which manages our bulk commodities such as Grain, Ethanol, Crude, and Coal. The other is TEAMS which manages the distribution of our empty railcar fleet. The successful candidate will work closely with the manager, project leads for each project, project manager, end-users and upper management. There are many opportunities for career growth and advancement. This position will require 24x7 support of a mission critical application on a rotating basis.

Education
4-yr college degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics
Responsibilities
Work with the end-users and business analysts to develop thorough requirements based on business needs
Assist with code reviews to ensure high quality code based on detailed designs that meet requirements
Create comprehensive SDLC documentation, conduct thorough testing, and follow defined change control processes. (Includes functional documents used by developers)
Provide support for a mission critical applications
Effectively communicate with end-users, co-workers, managers, and other stakeholders
Demonstrate a high level of initiative and attention to detail during daily operations
Skills Required
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Object Oriented design and development (Java or C
Minimum of 3 years of experience in application design and development using SQL and a relational database such as IBM DB2, Oracle or MS SQL Server
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Excellent customer support skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Familiarity with testing methodologies and strategies
Skills Preferred
Experience supporting mission critical applications
Development experience on IBM AIX operating system
Experience in enterprise applications monitoring
