Type: 12 Months Contract
Overview:
Experienced Program Manager to supplement existing staff, manage the planning, design, development, and implementation of information technology projects, contribute to strategic planning through portfolio management, and provide assistance with PMO operational enhancement activities.
Minimum Qualifications.
Ability to communicate effectively (verbally and in writing) with Department staff;
Project Management Professional certification;
A minimum of ten (10) years of IT business/industry work experience;
A minimum of seven (7) years of project management experience;
A minimum of five (5) years of experience managing projects in accordance with the PMI’s standards as presented in A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK Guide);
A minimum of three (3) years developing program or project strategy, business cases and enterprise-wide project plans;
A minimum of three (3) years of experience managing highly-complex enterprise-wide program(s) consisting of multiple projects
Preferred Experience.
Experience communicating with IT leadership and business leadership;
Experience in portfolio management and related project portfolio tools and processes
Experience working with a PMO;
Experience facilitating requirements gathering and Joint Application Design sessions;
Experience with State Purchasing rules, processes, and documentation;
Experience collaborating with OIT purchasing processes and practices;
Experience managing documentation in MS SharePoint;
Experience managing projects for the OIT’s PMO; and
Experience with the OIT ISDM or SDF.
Educational Qualifications:
A minimum of a bachelor''s degree in one of the computer science fields or in management information systems or four years of work experience in information technology, systems analysis, management analysis, program planning, program research, or program evaluation.
