Project Manager (Release Train Engineer) with Agile
Location: Burlington, MA (Locals Only)

Job Overview
An Agile Program Manager employs servant leadership to embrace and support Agile practices in the planning and execution of a program. The Sr Agile Program Manager will provide coaching, mentoring and facilitation to multiple teams while gaining program level experience.
Key Responsibilities

Enable Agility
Create an environment of trust where it is safe to challenge, experiment and fail without fear.
Constantly refine and stay current with emerging themes in larger Agile community.
Be an advocate in adopting Agile best practices and processes.
Collaborate across all functions to ensure organizational effectiveness.
Coach, train and educate the program on principles and practices of Agile in collaboration with Scrum Masters and Agile Coaches.
Be a Change Agent for Agile transformations.
Actively participate in ongoing change management as process business and technical scope is adjusted.
Encourages and supports development of teams and the program (team of teams
Give feedback from teams and discuss business level impediments and process improvements.
Act as a galvanizing force for sharing Agile knowledge across the organization.
Contribute to newsletters, blogs, and internal gatherings as they relate to Agile practices at CA.
Facilitation
Responsible for program level logistics, such as creating timelines, milestones, and cadence of increments and releases.
Support and encourage healthy program communication across all levels of the enterprise for small to medium-sized value streams. Act as a communications hub between the Portfolio, Program and Agile Team level roles and activities.
Facilitates readiness for program increment planning (vision, backlog, economic prioritization and facilities)
Facilitates the program level cross-team collaboration activities such as SAFe Scrum of Scrums.
Facilitate the process of program level planning (Program Increment or Release) for small to medium-sized value streams.
Facilitates all retrospectives for the program level (Inspect & Adapt Workshops) for small to medium-sized value streams.
Proactively recognize and resolve conflicts between teams/functions through collaboration and consensus.
Tracks program impediments and escalates those that cannot be resolved within the program.
Ensure all artifacts are in good order (e.g. Feature Backlog) at the program level.
SAFe Release Train Engineer
May fulfill all the responsibilities of a Scaled Agile Framework Release Train Engineer (SAFe RTE) for a small to medium Release Train.
Transparency and Communication
Operates with full transparency; makes all work visible to everyone in the program.
Foster continuous collaboration; continuously collaborate and communicate across all functions supporting program execution.
Metrics and Measures
Collect and monitor data related to program goals and milestones and raise issues to the program.
Continuous Improvement
Promotes continuous improvement practices at the program level for all functions.
Collaborate with Agile Coaches and foster cooperation in experimentation and adopting new techniques.
Continuously work to improve the operational processes of the program.
Release and Risk Management
May fulfill role as member of Release Management team.
Highlight and communicate program risks and dependencies

Business Travel and Physical Demands
Business travel of approximately 10 or less percent yearly is expected for this position.

Preferred Education

Bachelor''s degree or global equivalent in a related field.

Work Experience
Typically 5 or more years in an industry related role.
Experience in software development in an Agile environment, Support, project management, or a related field.

Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification or equivalent required.

SAFe Agilist (SA) is desired.
SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) is desired and may be required for certain programs.
