Position : Program Manager / Agile Delivery Manager
Location : Cincinnati, OH
Duration : 12+ Months
Rate is $65/hr on W2 to the candidate ( Max)
We need a Program Manager/Agile Delivery Manager to drive a large number of coordinated item changes and synchronization across our systems and enterprise. This resource will be responsible for working with new and existing agile teams to deliver the value of implementing cloud-based systems across delivery and shared service teams while managing communications and dependencies across teams and the enterprise. The ideal candidate will be an experienced program manager that also is also versed in Agile or SAFe. This opportunity requires the candidate to have strong leadership and negotiation skills while being a proven self-starter, detail oriented, and demonstrating they can dig into tasks on the project while also maintaining the overall schedule.
Essential Job Functions:
Responsible for assembling project team, assigning individual responsibilities, identifying appropriate resources needed, and developing commitments in an Agile environment.
Establish and update project plans/Kanban or Scrum boards with the teams to display the delivery of the functionality being created
Conduct agile ceremonies such as stand ups, scrum of scrums, retrospectives and PI Planning events.
Ensure all project objectives are clearly documented, approved and delivered to meet customer needs.
Communicate timely project status to all stakeholders.
Manage risks, develop mitigation plans, and escalate decisions and unresolved issues.
Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.
Strong focus on scope and delivery using Agile.
Strong dependency management skills within and across teams.
Strong knowledge of Agile and/or SAFe to enable coordination with agile teams.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
5 or more years Program Manager experience.
Experience leading a highly matrixed project team.
Proven track record of delivering objectives on time and within budget.
Solid knowledge and ability to apply the systems development and project management life-cycle processes involved with implementing I.T. solutions in an Agile environment.
Proven problem solving and organizational skills.
Demonstrated ability in team motivation and delegation.
Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively communicate information to customers and to all levels within the organization.
Bachelor’s degree or related equivalent work experience.
Experience working in Agile or SAFe environment and familiarity with Agile concepts and roles.
Preferred Position Qualifications:
A project manager who has Project Manager experience or has played the dual rule in the past.
Previous Release Train Engineer experience.
Previous experience with Cloud-based development practices.
