Title: Production Support Engineer
Work Location: Following 3 sites to be considered:
Irving, TX
Temple Terrace, FL
Colorado Springs, CO
Interview: 2 technical 30 minute interview rounds (Video & Audio), and 1 potential final customer interview by same method

Role Description:
Provide Production Support for Logical Provisioning Apps, deploy application code/packages in Production and Non Production environment. Join Task Plan review calls and Follow Change Management Process and Procedures. Work with Application Development, Middleware, VDSI, System Administrators and other teams to coordinate for all activities and work to debug issues as needed. Additionally, to continue the support of projects related to migration of applications from on-prem to Amazon’s cloud computing platforms and technologies, as well as ongoing severs and Operating System upgrades. As part of Job requirement, resource on occasion will be working after normal business hours, pager rotation, and some weekends via team member rotations as scheduled. Need to work closely with all teams, respond to emails and be able to join calls and attend crisis management calls (CMDs) as needed. Provide resolution to issues and mitigate problems and be able to work proactively.
- Provide first-tier support to end users for IT applications
- Perform installation of code releases and patches and write scripts or programs for IT applications

Top requirements:
UNIX skills/commands/RedHat/Linux to include script writing, iPlanet & Weblogic, AWS/re-hydration knowledge.

Required Skills:
6+ years of IT experience…
Bachelor’s degree with 6+ years of experience in RedHat/Linux Operating Systems, able to diagnose issues and be able to support some limited System Administration functions, write scripts etc.
- Extensive Working knowledge on Middleware Products such as iPlanet, IBM MQ Series, JAVA, Weblogic, Single Sign On, Networks, SSL Cert handling (JAVA Keystore, MQ KeyStore), SSH Key Handling (FSecure and OpenSSH), etc.
- Good Understanding of System Architecture, System Flows and Processes.
- Prior work experience in an environment where interaction was required with multiple teams across various time zones and geographic locations.
- Good knowledge on Monitoring Systems, log analyser(s) such as Splunk, others

Desired Skills:
- Strong UNIX commands/some System Administration skills, Weblogic, MQ Series, iPlanet, JAVA technology
- Good knowledge of Networks, SSL Cert handling (JAVA Keystore, MQ KeyStore), SSH Key Handling (FSecure and OpenSSH), etc.
- Must be self-starter
- If candidate has prior experience in Verizon related to Networks, Process and Procedures and has been part of Production Support team it will be beneficial.

Misc. Items:
- Work Schedule: Typically 8:00–5:00 pm – Note: 24x7 System Operations, pager coverage via rotation - occasional nights/weekends required due to periodic production upgrades, code deployments, system degradations, etc.
