Manager call notes: Data Product & Operations- big data project- the candidate will be primarily responsible for production support – REALLY NEED STRONG AWS ARCHITECTURE SKILLS, need supporting the code not creating, must be proficient in coding in spark and EMR and AWS – moderate/intermediate scala development skills. Heavy AWS including EMR, Cost optimization, autoscaling, very strong on AWS. Want someone who wants to do Production Support. Anyone who has big data knowledge is a huge plus.
Description: Data Product Application Architecture, Development & Operations
a. High Level purpose – add scale to data product development and provide for transition functions with existing teams currently supporting ongoing efforts for data product construction. Provide data product support, change and feature development across the spectrum of data, services, UI (server) and UI (client
b. Primary duties – supplement existing teams and product development, be the AT&T/MAC local conduit for development, support, change implementation, and new feature construction for data products. Assist in migration of off-shore, non-AT&T development efforts to the AT&T local platform environments.
i. CI/CD for data product application build and release lifecycle
ii. Backend service development for integrated application services, including authentication and authorization services, feature supporting services, use case supporting mechanisms, and BI/reporting capabilities present in the data product application.
iii. Frontend experience and supporting service development, including responsive UI development, highly interactive web application experiences, visualization development and integration, access/login integration, and other content and asset development for an integrated product experience delivered via web application with supporting APIs.
iv. Integration of test driven development (TDD) or behavior driven development (BDD) for build and deployment practices to validate functional delivery prior to certification and exposure to application customers.
v. Integration of security best practices including security scan, vulnerability scan & protection mechanisms, limits and controls for access, anomaly detection practices for early-warning threat detection for compromise or terms of service violation.
c. Core skills – depth of experience in integrated data product development in elastic cloud architecture, respecting security and privacy considerations include encryption both in motion & at rest, least privilege access control, continuous identity principal for access & logging, dynamic and responsive web application development, internal and external API development and service orchestration, security by design, test or behavior driven development, CI/CD integration experience, container based deployment, end to end application development and support.
