Production Planner:

Client presently has an opening for a “Production Scheduler/Master
Planner”.

The Production Scheduler/Master Planner is responsible for collaborating with Production, Supply Chain, and Customer Service teams to plan and schedule workflow to support the combined requirements from safety stock, forecast and customer orders.

Additionally, this position supports the achievement of both efficiency goals and inventory goals by analyzing the effects of planning parameters. The Production Scheduler is responsible for developing the master production plan and schedule to meet customer requirements by effectively utilizing available shop capacity and resources.

Responsibilities:

Plans and manages rolling production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements and best utilize the company39;s productive capacity.
Develop production schedule, monitor daily schedule, and adjust as needs arise based on customer input
Coordination of production schedules for internal projects and trials, and maintenance
Analyzes sales order releases with respect to capacity planning and material
requirements.

Manages inventory levels, schedules and availability of all production parts, either
manufactured or purchased, to meet production schedules.
Receives and reviews sales orders against current requirements and work in process using the material requirement planning report.

Releases purchase orders for production material, floor stock items and all purchases to
support the business unit.

Develop and maintain production files and KPIs to be reviewed with upper management
Generate post-processing documentation of which includes certification and shipping
documentation.
Set-up and maintain Engineering Master File

Job Requirements

Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management.
Experience with the capacity planning elements of a manufacturing accounting or ERP
system ( preferably SAP)

Excellent computer skills, (Microsoft Office suite), focus on highly proficient Excel skills.
Excellent problem solving skills
APICS Certification preferred, but not mandatory.

Qualify order lead-time and due date against quoted and archived information.
Interface with customers and across all levels of personnel to troubleshoot and/or qualify information necessary in assembling a work order.
Possess strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Ability to complete work projects with speed and accuracy, often under pressure and/or short deadlines.
Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills are necessary.
Sound knowledge of supply chain processes and procedures including S&OP, Order
Fulfillment and Kanban.
