Job Description :
The Product Management & Experience team is looking for someone passionate about changing the customer experience in the wireless industry.
The Product Owner is the lead member from the product management organization in the Agile Sprint teams.
He or she represents the product team in the tactical development/delivery process.
The Product Owner ensures that the product functionality is created in the order and manner that represents the best approach from perspective of the business, product and technical teams.
The ideal candidate will have a customer-first mindset and focus on what is possible vs. what is standard practice in the industry.
They will have excellent product instincts, passion for great app experiences, a data-centric mindset, and the willingness to do what it takes to change the industry.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Own the relationship between product management and the sprint teams
o Represent and share the product vision to the scrum teams
o Lead the Functional Grooming of the user stories
o Represent the product team in Sprint planning meetings, Technical Grooming, daily Scrum meeting, Sprint Retrospectives and Sprint Demos
o Serve as focal point for any pre-sprint or in-sprint inquiries from the sprint team.
Confirm that technical architecture and technical design aligns to the short-term and long-term product vision.
o Inspire technical teams to innovate and create industry-leading solutions while balancing immediate product plans
Understand and contribute to the end-to-end customer experience.
Create and maintain the user story backlog
o Define and create the user story structure – themes, epics, etc.
o Create user stories for the product functionality and desired customer experience
o Prioritize user stories in the backlog
o Coordinate with technical teams to finalize list of user stories for each sprint
Coordinate with the UI design team to ensure consistency and alignment between design assets and user stories
Execute the acceptance process for user stories
Lead resolution of issues impacting success of the current or future sprints
Provide sprint and backlog status to product management team leadership
QUALIFICATIONS
Prior experience as a business analyst role on an Agile product team
Product owner experience with mobile applications (iOS and Android)
Managed relationships with technical and UI/UX design teams in the delivery of product
Experience with Jira and Rally Agile tools.
Bachelor’s degree in technical discipline (computer science, engineering)
