About the role
As a Product Manager you will be challenged to revolutionize product solutions in Item Catalog/Supply Chain/General Merchandise/ Grocery area. This area requires that you are 1. able to effectively partner with key stakeholders across the entire Walmart organization and outside, 2. think through and build for scale, 3. build for underlying risks, vulnerabilities and probabilistic nature of data, 4. work with data scientists and be a researcher who can leverage machine models in making efficient data decisions. We need a visionary, data driven, and dynamic product leader who is able to handle uncertainties, has a wider perspective, and is good at connecting the dots.
Lead requirement specifications
Drive product discovery, research process for large, complex projects
Work with executives and stakeholders, and partner closely with cross-functional teams to take Item Catalog products to the next level
Define requirements, drive adoption, lead user acceptance testing, and address business and system issues
Partner very closely with engineering teams on product design, development, and deployment in a fast paced, agile environment
Ensure we are building globally usable, scalable software
Focus on KPIs and data based decision making
Communicate the benefits and champion the product throughout the organization
Serve as a thought leader within the team and the broader enterprise
Promotes and supports mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor''s degree in computer science, information systems, or related field
3+ years of experience in product management or technology management roles
Experience in delivering enterprise software products in the areas of e-commerce, retail, or supply chain
Additional Preferred Qualifications
MBA or advanced technical degree with undergrad in computer science, information systems, or related field
Passionate about Retail
A do-er who can champion product vision, strategy, and roadmap in support of corporate goals and objectives, but can also roll up your sleeves to get deep in the weeds to help the team get the job done
Demonstrated ability to lead, drive consensus, manage tradeoffs and deliver with multiple stakeholders
Sense of ownership, eye for detail, and a passion to play key role in defining the destiny of product
Flexible, adaptive, and comfortable with ambiguity
Customer centric, and metrics and data driven
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Strong team player, collaborative approach to achieving results
