Senior Product Analyst
Position : FTE
Location : Dallas, TX
The Product Analyst should have at least 12 years of experience and should
be able to lead as well as a subject matter expert able to easily wear
multiple lifecycle hats from planning through to implementation focused on
mortgage origination loan documents and all the associated system details
and impacts. He/ She would be responsible for planning, conducting analysis
and creating requirements for changes applicable to residential mortgage
lending''s loan origination documents and supporting loan origination system
which includes wording, data mapping, system validations and controls,
package design, setup and distribution electronically and postal mail. The
Analyst will seek opportunities to gain efficiencies by performing research,
analysis and provide recommended solutions for regulatory compliance,
systems enhancements and business needs leveraging the loan origination
system and supporting systems.
Role and Responsibilities
* Elicit business requirements, functional designs, cross functional
implications and implementation plans for Origination Documents, Packaging,
Documents'' delivery\distribution and supporting origination system
enhancement ensuring no negative downstream impacts with proposed solutions
* Deep functional and technical subject matter expertise by
understanding the full Mortgage origination and funding process lifecycle
* Ability to participate in user interviews, analyze business needs
and propose system solutions
* Interact with multiple stakeholders including Product Managers,
Subject Matter Experts (SME) and Technology teams using excellent verbal and
written communication skills
* Conduct effective facilitation sessions with multiple stakeholders
* Clearly articulate and isolate in-scope and out of scope elements
* Reconcile high level information received from multiple sources,
identify any missing gaps and create detailed business requirements that
meet the business need within the scope of the initiative
* Meet and transform client needs into well-defined business
requirements that our technical team can fully understand and leverage to
create functional design requirements
* Understand complex topics and translate them into diagrams (context,
workflow, activity, etc and documentation using standard tools (i.e. Word,
Visio, Excel, etc
* Participate in testing strategy, execution, calendar, scripts,
traceability matrix, defect reviews and reporting defects
* Conduct end-to-end testing on applications and technology, to ensure
that business, technical and functional requirements are being met
throughout the SDLC, including the development of test cases, test scripts
and UAT protocols for use by non-IT supplemental subject matter experts
* Document and manage change control processes and clearly articulate
functional and non-functional requirements
* Ensure delivery of production ready code to UAT testers
* Participate in creation and execution of check out steps in the
production launch run book to verify functionality is properly released into
production
* Participate in all necessary phases of the product development
lifecycle; track/manage issues and project plan through the lifecycle of the
project
* Take the lead to ensure design and integration of proposed solutions
meet all business and regulatory requirements
* Combines research and recommendations with requirements for systems
or process changes
* Identifies data elements, mapping suggestions and derivatives from
the LOS screens to the Loan origination documents
* Work with vendors, project team members and Business Technology to
understand system functionality, dependencies and constraints to refine
requirements, propose approaches\solutions for delivery options and
timelines
* Concisely translate and convey the functional\configuration features
or constraints into business impacts for varying levels stakeholders
* Ability and experience to plan testing for all functionalities,
extensions and regression testing
* Additional skills include expertise in identifying, evaluation and
developing cost effective solutions to meet user requirements
* Assists with user acceptance testing planning and criteria
specification for system and loan origination documents to meet business
requirements
* Provides consultation and triage to testers and end users in the
area of automated systems and expected document outputs
