This team provides operational support of ITSM processes (for example – Change, Release, Knowledge, Config
Role description:
Maintain the enterprise configuration management plan.
Planning responsibilities:
Create an enterprise config model (attributes, allowable relationships, define business requirements for data flow of federated CMDB sources, consideration for sub-models at the class level)
Create a roadmap for the management of each class in the config model
Establish and maintain the taxonomy for the enterprise config model
Execution Responsibilities:
Implement the roadmap
Required skills:
ITIL background
Technical writing
General IT Acumen/Knowledge (Hosting, Cloud, Network, Software configuration management, Basic IT architecture)
General project management
Relationship skills: Work with peers, process owners, executives.executive presence is a must
Entity relationship diagram skills
Parent-child hierarchical config model (single object can exist in multiple places)
