Principal Network Engineer
Location: Burlington, MA (Local)
Duration: Full Time

The Network Engineer role is responsible for design, implementation, and management of a complex comprehensive secure network framework for connectivity that meets client’s internal and external connectivity needs and requirements.

Primary Responsibilities:
Contribute to the design, implementation and direct support of customers utilizing an internal Cloud Services Platform.
Configure and maintain network equipment such as routers, switches, load balancers, firewalls and VPN Concentrators.
Perform network and host-based security and risk assessments, design and implement security-related improvements / enhancements to customer and internal networks and work with network and systems engineers in implementing security infrastructure components.

Experience with designing and implementing large-scale networks, network routing, switches, and internet-related networking and security technologies.
5 or more years of hands-on experience in designing and implementing security policies and infrastructure in a multi-customer ISP Data environment.
Familiar with and experienced in providing network, telephony, and systems management, administration, and support.
Strong skills using MS and other office automation and project management tools and techniques

Experience designing, configuring, installing, maintaining and supporting corporate data center and site network environments to meet the company’s requirements for availability, performance, security and scalability.
Design and implement appropriate levels of capabilities and redundancy to support HA and DR requirements
Experience providing services to support network security including, but not limited to firewalls, network access control, appropriate routing/switching design, VPN, centralized authentication, 802.1x, etc. Responsible for all telephone equipment and services: PBX, desktop phones, phone lines, voice mail systems, VOIP, etc.
